On December 6, 2025, at 92 years of age, MWO (ret.) Kenneth J Hudson’s spirit was set free to join his Lord and Saviour. He was born in Peterborough on May 28, 1933, to William and Elsie Hudson and grew up in Peterborough and Lakefield.
He was proud of his long service in the Canadian Armed Forces as a medical assistant, especially his time spent with the peacekeeping forces in Lebanon, and he enjoyed visiting various countries during his tenure. Passionate about his faith and his family, he was an active member of his church community. He also enjoyed gardening, woodworking, music and reading.
He is survived by his children: Elizabeth, Esther, Sharon, Sandra (Dan), and Eric (Eliana), his grandchildren, Jon (Kinjal), Nathaniel, and Brennah, as well as his siblings, Mary, Barbara, Eric, Carl (Ruth), David (Diane), Don (Linda), Dorothy, Phyllis (Gaeten), Phillip (Linda) and Betty Ann (Russell), his sister-in-law, Janet, and many nieces, nephews and stepchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Isobel, his second wife, Barbara, his son, Ron, his grandson, Adam, his siblings (Jimmy, Albert and Sylvia) and his in-laws (Al, Stan, Ross, Betty, Eric, Eileen, Jack, Winnie, and Willis).
A funeral service will be held December 13/25 at 11 a.m. at Nisbett Funeral Home, 600 Monaghan Rd S, Peterborough with visitation on Dec 12/25 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the Hudson family would appreciate donations in memory of Ken to the Kawartha Christian Ministries Hope Valley Day Camp or the Alzheimer’s Society Peterborough.
