Armar LaVergne Butcher of Peterborough passed away on December 2, 2025 at Fairhaven at the age of 95. Beloved long term partner of Joan Morris. Son of Effie and Armar Butcher and brother to Ralph. Predeceased by brothers Carl, Garry and Norbert. Father of Janet, Stephen, Wendy (predeceased) and Eric. Grandfather and great-grandfather to many. He taught at Thomas A Stewart for several years and prior to that, worked in the Parks Department in Peterborough. He was an avid horse shoe player, winning many championships in Florida and in the Peterborough area. Many thanks to the staff at both Kawartha Heights Retirement Home and Fairhaven Home for their care over the past two years.
